Treasure Map

One rainy day, Sarah went into her room and decided to look into a wooden box that her grandma left her. She rummaged through the old photograph when she found a treasure map. “Oh a treasure map maybe i can go on a treasure hunt,” thought Sarah.

  Sarah asked her mum if she is allowed to go out. Her mum said it alright as long as she is back for dinner.

Sarah slipped on her shoes and coat. "X marks the spot,” thought Sarah. I can't wait until i find the treasure". She spent the next couple of hours following the map until she think she is totally lost.

She looked at her watch. It was 5.30. Dinner is at 6 pm. Sarah should be really be heading home. But unfortunately, she couldn't remember the way back home.  

She turned back and walked hoping that it would head her to someone's house or home. she walked for a couple of minutes but it felt to her like a very long time. All around her ,she could only see bushes and trees. "Oh No, mum will  be so worried”

Sarah is starting to feel very frightened. It's getting dark. Sarah ran as fast as she can in hope to find somebody who could show her the way home.

Suddenly, she stopped. She saw footprints and thought that they were hers. So she followed the footsteps back to her friend’s house.

Turned out that her friend went to the woods to pick up some logs for their bbq . She walked home relieved that she is near home. She had a glance at her watch. It is 5.50pm.

She ran home. Soon she arrived in front of her home. “Home Sweet Home”, said Sarah to herself. She dashed inside in time for dinner.

“Oh there you are i was gonna start getting worried then,” said Sarah’s mum. Sarah and her mum tucked into dinner while watching Eastenders
